There have been many people who have influenced us to be who we are today. These people have consciously or subconsciously affected our character and moral values, for good or bad.
Influence is a fundamental aspect of life. And in terms of power, it refers to the capability of an individual to influence the behavior of another person so that another person will act following the individual wishes. In this day in age, where we are surrounded by social media, and where we have to move access to content and other people’s opinion, it is -I must say- rather easy to be “influenced” in the decisions that we make in our daily life down to, what we eat, how we dress and even the words we say.
An effect of one’s perception on any art is always Foreign Look’s goal in each volume. To free and see things through a new lens. In our modern age that effect comes only from influence. This revelation appears everywhere, on social media, posters, films, and books. It creates a sense of following for people. To follow, and be a part of things we love. In Genesis 1, God instructed humans to ‘rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and overall the creatures that move along the ground’, and to ‘fill the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:26, 28). Some people believe that the instruction to ‘rule’ over the earth means we have absolute authority over creation. In this view, nature is a resource for humans to benefit from economically, whatever the environmental impacts.
When we forget our responsibility to be wise stewards, creation groans. The earth can no longer cope with the demands humans place on our natural resources. Our waste and pollution are poisoning the air, soil, and water. If we continue to exploit and abuse God’s earth, what will be left for future generations to inherit?
The climate crisis is here, and it demands urgent action from all of us.
